Channeled ritual & embodied artwork by Siin

Sigillo Sacro is the ritual offering of Siin, handwork tattooist, performance and multidisciplinary artist based in the Mojave near Joshua Tree, California.

Through her work, Siin aims to enable a kind of contextual reboot: to expose those areas of behavior and thought which are misaligned with our human purpose as stewards, messengers, and sacred historians. Various forms of media are used intentionally to alter consciousness, provoke insight, and to push the recipient to introspect deeply. Siin utilizes participatory, multimodal performance events; the creation of visual symbols and artworks that act as focal points for meditation; ritual tattoo; and experimental sonic poetry to engage recipients and pull them into a created world where everything is speaking to us and we are capable of listening.

Siin is also the co-owner of Rancho de la Libertad, a pioneering sanctuary for creatives and passionate stewards. Her work on this landbase is meant to be a multigenerational, perpetual effort; a permanent, living installation that fundamentally changes a community, regenerates an ecosystem, and gives space for others to make crucial changes required to live more ethical lives.

Ritual Tattoo

Our bodies are sacred vessels, through which we experience and connect with the Divine. The act of permanently marking these vessels is ancient, and powerful. An offering to the Divine and to ourselves in blood and ink, a tattoo is ultimately a profound transformation with the potential to protect the recipient, manifest the recipient’s magickal intentions, or integrate the wearer more deeply with the Divine aspects of the universe.

A painful rite of passage, tattooing is a mechanism for altered consciousness and visionary states. It is my purpose to guide the recipient through this rite, assisting them in creating powerful magick, and accessing their Divinity. I work with clients to determine their spiritual boundaries, and undergo extensive meditation and preparation to determine what underlying symbolic language needs to be made flesh. I act as guardian and translator through this process, ensuring that recipients safely move through this transformational process and that the Work we do is aligned with Purpose.

This Work is only offered in context: this is not an aesthetic service, or one to be attended to on a whim or based on desire alone. Siin works mostly within her own community when this Work is required.

Siin is no longer soliciting paid tattoo clients, please visit the contact page for inquiries.

Visual Art

The visual art of Siin asks the viewer to project: for in our projections we find the honest truth, which most often we've been hiding from our conscious selves. Images channeled in various states of being find themselves being created as two or three dimensional pieces which hang currently at Rancho de la Libertad.

Performance

still from "Dia Sacrificia", performed in 2023 near Joshua Tree, California

Visceral and transformative, Siin's performance work is evolving and emerging out of the laboratory at the Ranch. It aims to encompass the consciousness-expanding capacity of experimental sonic projections as well as to display channeled rituals: to bring the audience into Practice, to shake them into a different kind of awareness.
